Terms of sale
These terms cover what you buy from Kinetic and how you may use it. The seller is Kinetic Physics, Gauteng, contactable at support@kineticmatric.com.
What you're buying
A section pack gives you streaming in your browser and a download of every video in that section, including videos added to the section later, for as long as your link works. A pass gives you the same for every section on the site, including sections added while the pass is running, and any practice games on the site, until the end date shown on the pass. You pay once and prices are in South African rand. A pass does not renew by itself.
How delivery works
Once your payment is confirmed, the page you land on asks for your email address, unlocks your videos, and we email you a personal link. Please check the address you enter. If the email doesn't arrive, use "Lost your link?" on the home page.
Personal use only
Your link and downloads are licensed to you for your own study. Please don't share the link, upload the videos anywhere, or sell or give copies to others. We may switch off a link that is being shared.
What the videos are, and aren't
They are a revision aid for Grade 12 Physical Sciences. They don't replace your teacher's notes, and we can't promise any particular mark. This is an independent resource, not affiliated with the IEB or any school.
Payment
Payments are processed by Yoco on its own secure page. We never see or store your card details.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
Refunds and our 30-day guarantee
30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy with what you bought, for any reason, email support@kineticmatric.com within 30 days of paying and we'll refund you in full. You don't have to explain why. When we refund you, access to what you bought is switched off.
Whatever the time, we'll also fix the problem or refund you if:
- you were charged but you couldn't get access, and we can't fix it;
- a video file is damaged or won't play on a normal device; or
- you received the wrong video.
This doesn't limit any rights you have under South African consumer law.
To ask for a refund or help, email support@kineticmatric.com and include the email you gave after paying, and the time and amount of your payment. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and your bank decides how long it takes to show.
Discount codes
If you paid with a discount code, a refund returns the amount you actually paid.
Privacy
We handle your personal information with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in mind, and we keep only what we need.
What we keep
The email address you give after paying and the details of your order (what you bought, when, and how much you paid). Our hosting may also record technical details such as your IP address, for security. We don't ask for your card details.
Why
To deliver your videos, let you re-open them, help if something goes wrong, and keep our records. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
Yoco (payments), Resend (sending emails) and Cloudflare (hosting the site and videos). They process data only to provide those services. Some of them work outside South Africa: for example, Resend sends our emails from Ireland, and Cloudflare runs its network around the world.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have access, and afterwards only as long as we need it for refunds, disputes and our records. You can ask us to delete your information, though we may have to keep the record of a payment.
Free guides and study tips (the mailing list)
If you ask for a free guide on our website, we need your email address to send you the download link. If you tick the box, we may also send you occasional study tips and news about new videos. We record your email, the time, which guide you asked for and the exact wording you agreed to. We only use your address for news after you click the link in the email we send you, so we know it is really yours. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We don't sell or share the list.
Messages you send us
If you use "Write to us", we get your message, and your email address if you give one, and we use it only to reply to you.
Cookies and devices
We use one small cookie, set when you open your personal link: a random code that lets us recognise a device you have confirmed (up to 3 per purchase). It isn't used for advertising or to follow you around the web. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) version of it, a label such as "Chrome on Mac", and the time it was last used. We don't store your IP address with it.
Your choices
You can ask to see or delete your information at any time by emailing support@kineticmatric.com. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy, and by buying you confirm you have it. Your parent or guardian can also ask to see or delete your information.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
